“After crisscrossing the country over the last decade, I was able to come home to Cincinnati in 2017 with my wife and children. As a clinical psychologist, I am committed to using best practices that are effective in improving health and wellbeing. I have a deep appreciation for our human need to find a sense of peace in the chaos and uncertainty of life and relationships, and I enjoy working together with clients to build skills and gain insights that lead them to places of peace and joy. I will provide tools and techniques along with compassionate and empathetic care to maximize your ability to reach your therapy goals and improve the quality of your life and relationships. In addition to working with clients at Rivertown, I spend time teaching at the university level and researching the effects of mental health and substances on brain and heart function. When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking and camping with my family.

I earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of South Florida. I worked in clinical positions as an intern and postdoctoral fellow at academic medical centers and VA hospitals in Boston and San Diego before returning to Cincinnati. Bridging the gap between academic research and clinical practice is critical to my approach in therapy. I have extensive experience using cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches and working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment, and addiction. I am comfortable with adolescents and adults of all ages.

My primary goal with clients is to empower you with skills and tools that enable you to overcome the unique obstacles you are facing. Each situation is different, but I embrace an approach that recognizes the interactions among physical, social, emotional, and spiritual challenges, and seeks healing and health across all domains of life.”
