“Thus far, my professional background has been eclectic. I began with earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Wright State University, followed by attending business school at the University of Edinburgh, in Edinburgh, Scotland. I finished my schooling by earning a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Master of Arts in School Counseling, also acquired from Wright State University. I am now a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Professional School Counselor in the state of Ohio. In whatever profession one might select, it is commonly asked, “Why did you choose to do this with your life?” Although that is a complicated question for me to answer because my journey included quite a bit of pivoting and self-discovery, I was ultimately led to the realization that my passion lies within the opportunity to be welcomed into another’s story while creatively pursuing health and growth. Not to mention, I can’t resist the opportunity to ask a good, thought-provoking question.

I have worked in community mental health, youth day-treatment, and the professional school counseling setting. My experience includes working with individuals of a variety of ages and backgrounds navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, and personality disorders. I believe the most important first step to change is creating a strong therapeutic relationship with the client. Once a foundation of trust is developed, the road to change can begin to be navigated. The reality we face on this side of eternity is that life is messy. As much as we may hope for black and white decisions and solutions, there is an immense amount of gray that remains. My hope is to help you find comfort, clarity, and confidence while learning to navigate life and those gray areas.

Some pastimes that bring me joy include tearing up the dance floor, relishing a good meal, exploring new places and cultures, enjoying the outdoors, and drinking a good cup of coffee. I value the simple things that bring clarity to the current moment and help me slow down amidst life’s easily hectic pace. In session, too, I hope to offer you a different perspective that brings a sense of clarity. I am honored for the opportunity to be a part of your story and pursue wellness together.”
